Ice Fest 2023: Celebrating 10 Years of New England's Tap House Grille in Hooksett

Ice Fest 2023: Celebrating 10 Years of New England's Tap House Grille in Hooksett

Ten years. A restaurant, a farm, and a wedding venue. Thousands of meals, hundreds of events, and a community that has made all of it possible. This January, we are celebrating a decade of New England's Tap House Grille with Ice Fest 2023 — a three-day outdoor winter carnival inspired by the Quebec Winter Carnival that shaped Dan Lagueux's childhood, held January 12–14 at our sister location Oscar Barn Wedding Venue. New Hampshire Magazine covered the event ahead of opening night, and we couldn't be more excited to share it with you.

What Is Ice Fest?

Ice Fest is a three-day outdoor winter celebration running Thursday through Saturday, January 12–14, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night at Oscar Barn Wedding Venue, 191 West River Road, Hooksett, NH. The event features a curling rink, an ice cocktail luge, interactive ice displays, wood-fire pizza, food trucks, five separate bars, photo booths, and live music every night. Thursday night brings DJ Chad and the Bob Pratte Band. Friday features DJ Shamblez, Brad Myrick and Paul Costley, and Pop RoKs. Saturday closes with DJ Chad, Dave Glannon, and the Rebel Collective.

Tickets are $25 per day and available at oscarbarnweddingvenue.com. Food and drinks are purchased with $4 tokens, available online or on-site. Any unused tokens can be redeemed at New England's Tap House Grille for up to one month following the event. Parking is available on-site for $25, with free parking at nearby Tri-Town Ice Arena and regular shuttles. This is a 21+ event, rain or shine.

Why We Created Ice Fest

Dan and Valerie are French Canadian, and the Quebec Winter Carnival was a formative part of Dan's childhood. Ice Fest is a love letter to that tradition — transplanted to New Hampshire and shared with the community that has kept us going for a decade. "We did all of this because we cared about the integrity of our community," Dan says. "After 10 years, we want to say to our customers: you've been there for us. Here's a big party." We plan to make Ice Fest an annual Hooksett tradition. This first year is the foundation.
