On Tap for CASA 2019: Join NH's Most Fun Charity Fundraiser at Tap House Grille
Mark your calendar: On Tap for CASA returns to New England's Tap House Grille on March 23rd, 2019, running from noon to midnight. This is the fundraiser we look forward to all year — not just because it benefits an incredible cause, but because it is genuinely one of the most entertaining days in the Hooksett calendar. We are proud to once again host this event on behalf of CASA of New Hampshire, which advocates for abused and neglected children throughout the state.
What Is On Tap for CASA?
On Tap for CASA is a 10-hour barstool marathon. Teams of four to ten people pledge to keep a barstool occupied for the full event — from noon to midnight — while competing in rotating activities throughout the day. There's trivia, a wing-eating contest, bingo, a stein-hoisting challenge, and the fan-favorite lip sync battle. Points are awarded after each activity, and the top team earns their names on a trophy displayed at the Tap House all year long. Local breweries donate free beer samples throughout the event, and a special event menu is offered alongside live music and 50/50 drawings.
To reserve a barstool, teams must raise a minimum of $1,000 (or $1,200 for registrations after the early deadline). Each team has an individual fundraising page, and every dollar raised goes directly to CASA of New Hampshire. New Hampshire Magazine is a proud co-sponsor and participant. Register at everydayhero.com.
Why We Host It
CASA of New Hampshire recruits and trains community volunteers who serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates — the only adults in a courtroom whose sole job is to advocate for the best interests of a child who has experienced abuse or neglect. CASA volunteers provide judges with unbiased, thorough assessments that inform decisions about a child's future. The organization supplies approximately $3 million in advocacy services to the state annually. Hosting On Tap for CASA is one of the most meaningful things we do as a business, and we don't take it lightly.
